At Emerald Dental Care, we believe in regular dental checkups and believe preventative care is key in maintaining a healthy smile and overall general health. We recommend to visit a dentist every 6 months. During these appointments we examine your mouth thoroughly, including teeth, gums and soft tissues. The dentist will closely examine each and every tooth to check for cracks and cavities, as well as assessing the gums for any signs of gum disease (periodontal disease). An oral cancer screen will also be carried out in every examination to check for any abnormalities in the soft tissues. Finally an orthodontic assessment will be performed to ensure your teeth come together in an ideal and optimal position.
A comprehensive exam will usually involve a set of X-rays and sometimes photos of your teeth and mouth. The X-rays are highly detailed and invaluable, and will help us diagnose and develop treatment plans that are personalised to your needs.
Once we have all the required information from the examination, X-rays and photos, our dentist will provide all the treatment options to you including costs. Our team of dentists are completely transparent and will aim to provide treatment plans that are tailored to the individual.
